Paddling in the fountain
Well, despite the fact that this was taken on Saturday, a friend’s birthday party on Saturday night meant I was not able to upload this yeaterday! It was, however, a very good night and I was only briefly troubled by a hang-over this morning so all in all it’s been a good weekend and I’m on the Sunday wind-down, easing my self into a good mood for Monday.

The Golden Boys
So we spent a very nice day and a half in Birmingham, England’s second city. Upon arrival we were greeted by the pounding drums of a seikh music event taking place just opposite our hotel. We stopped to check it out before heading down to the canals for some lunch. In the afternoon we just cruised the town centre visitng old hang outs from when we were at Uni.
On the way back to the hotel to drop off some shopping I took this photo of a statue on Broad Street, comissioned as a tribute to Matthew Boulton, James Watt and William Murdoch and their contribution to the Industry of Birmingham and the world. To read more go to wikipedia
