Day 100 – Beach, originally uploaded by Andy Lane ~ Notts.

Bit of a while since I last posted but I’ve just gone past day 100 so I thought a post was most necessary. I’m so happy I was back in Brighton for the big day and I love this photo. It’s a bit of a cliche but I’m very pleased with how it came out.

Hi all,

I’ve been away for a while on a very lovely holiday in the Maldives and rather than flood my blog with weeks worth of images I’ll direct you to my flickr site ( to catch up with my 365. Daily posts will resume here tomorrow but for today here is my favourite image of the holiday.

Day 48 – One Way, originally uploaded by AndyLane78.

A short week after bank holiday weekend means that most people have taken the rest of the week off. It’s good news for the rest of us, lest traffic means an easier life 😉 and it also means it’s easier to lie down in the middle of the road to take photographs. Do not try this at home!

Day 45 – The Paws

This is Rosie in her natural habitat, above the hot water pipes on the landing.

Day 44 – Lewes Castle

Today we went back to Brighton for a friend’s wedding, they had the reception in Lewes which is the village I grew up in. I have lots of great memories there and we spent a little while wandering around visiting old haunts. I thought the castle looked particularly nice in the evening light.

Day 43 – Moderns

We set off late to dirve down to Brighton to avoid the worst of the Bank Holiday Weekend traffic, so we got dinner at a nice pub by the river and close to the Nottingham Modern’s Rugby Club. No game tonight though.

The Golden Boys

So we spent a very nice day and a half in Birmingham, England’s second city. Upon arrival we were greeted by the pounding drums of a seikh music event taking place just opposite our hotel. We stopped to check it out before heading down to the canals for some lunch. In the afternoon we just cruised the town centre visitng old hang outs from when we were at Uni.

On the way back to the hotel to drop off some shopping I took this photo of a statue on Broad Street, comissioned as a tribute to Matthew Boulton, James Watt and William Murdoch and their contribution to the Industry of Birmingham and the world. To read more go to wikipedia

Day 10 – The Mower, originally uploaded by AndyLane78.

I spent the morning terrorising the cats with the hoover, not intentionally – they just hate it. So when I got the mower out they must have felt like nowhere was safe anymore!

I’m a week into my 365 day project (6 photos so far – today is day 7). I’m going to start blogging the project here from tomorrow but for today I’ve posted my favourite photo so far. Personally I like the way the clouds and the vignette pull you in towards the subject.

You can check out the other photos this week and see all the photos in high res on my flickr site (
